Task Forces and Commissions
Designing and facilitating the deliberations of groups charged with developing and making recommendations regarding significant issues in the life and future of the organization.

Chapters and Assemblies

  • Facilitating the work of the preparatory committee, building a common vision and commitment within the committee, assisting in the determining the design, scope and agenda for the chapter or assembly.
  • Supporting the committee's leadership for the chapter or assembly, as well as the leadership of the designated officers.
  • Designing and facilitating small and large group preparatory meetings of the congregation, as well as meetings of key external stakeholders, as appropriate.

Ad Hoc Meetings and Retreats
Organizations have many reasons to bring people together, whether for deliberation, conversation, formation or information.  We custom design and facilitate meetings of large and small groups, taking place on-site and off-site, and extending for just an hour or two, for a day or over several days.

Leadership Coaching
Support for individual leaders that includes:

  • Conducting an assessment of the leader's capabilities vis a vis the mission, charism and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Providing regular coaching that focuses on practical growth in these capacities.


Performance Assessments

Providing custom-designed assessments of performance vis a vis the mission, charism and strategic direction of the organization and the individual's area and scope of responsibilities, and developing recommendations.

Organization-Wide Mission Integration
Designing and facilitating departmental and "all-hands" meeting, retreats and other activities to deepen organization alignment with and commitment to the mission and strategic direction.



Strategic Planning

A process for agreeing and committing to a strategic direction for your organization, building the capacity to implement that direction, and defining the measures for success.  Consultant support may include:

  • Working with the leadership to define the scope and focus of the planning, determine stakeholder involvement, establish the "non-negotiables" and design the process.
  • Facilitating a steering/coordinating committee.
  • Conducting assessments of the external environment and the internal capacities of the organization in light of its mission and values.
  • With the steering/coordinating committee, defining the questions that will be addressed in the planning.
  • Designing and facilitating task force, commission and stakeholder meetings.
  • Supporting and coaching members of leadership.
  • Providing reports to appropriate bodies.
  • Managing the process from information-gathering to deliberation to recommendations to decision.
  • Supporting implementation and assessment.


Pastoral Planning
 

Similar to strategic planning, but with the focus on choice of ministries and building capacity to serve in those ministries.

Succession Planning
Prior to conducting an executive search or the election/appointment of leaders, assessing the leadership needs of the organization and developing leadership profiles.  Consultant support may include:

  • Conducting a strategic review, including assessments of the external environment, internal capacities and strategic focus of the organization.
  • Interviewing stakeholders (internal and external, as appropriate).
  • Developing leadership profiles.


Reconfiguration/Union of Religious Communities

Facilitating a communal discernment of the leadership and members of all communities involved regarding reconfiguration and union

  • Designing and facilitating joint leadership meetings and deliberations.
  • Designing and facilitating assemblies, regional meetings, commissions and task forces, both joint and province-based.
  • Facilitating chapter deliberations.
